Overview

Under the direction of the Chief People Officer, the Temporary HR Generalist (4-month assignment) is responsible for managing employee relations for all 37 Aegis Living communities and upholding compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations, applicable regulatory requirements. 

Responsibilities

Primary Job Functions:

  • Supports and advises supervisors and management staff with respect to key HR processes to include employee relations and transfer/promotions.
  • Interprets policy and procedures and provides policy guidance in a consistent manner to supervisors and employees. Shares input and feedback in policy and procedure updates and implementation.
  • Point of contact for some new hire and onboarding activities.
  • Administers unemployment claims and paperwork for Home Office employees.
  • Handles all employee relation matters including harassment, discrimination, violations of compliance regulations and employment policies. Administers the appeal and grievance processes and make recommendations for appropriate personnel action for heavy populated hourly workforce.
  • Assists supervisors and employees to regarding FMLA, workers compensation, and disability concerns.
  • Point of contact for line level employee grievances.
  • Partner with leaders to initiate and carry out performance management and termination process.
  • Assumes other duties, responsibilities and special projects as needed.
  • Must be local to Bellevue, WA area and willing to drive to Aegis Communities in the Greater Seattle Area as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related degree preferred.
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience:

  • 3-5 years of related Human Resources/Generalist experience required.
  • 3+ years of specific Employee Relations experience is preferred.
  • HR certification a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly knowledgeable of employment and labor laws and regulations.
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with broad scope of HR skills.

The Human Resources Generalist supports human resource projects/teams to meet the needs of managers and staff and in support of company's strategic objectives. Highly knowledgeable regarding Washington, California, Nevada federal employment and labor laws and regulations with the ability to effectively communicate this information to management. Provides guidance on human-resource related issues and change management.

Office Schedule: 30-40 hours/week . In office role, Bellevue WA

Min Salary

USD $40.00/Hr.

Max Salary

USD $60.00/Hr.
